South Padre Island Drone | Packed Easter Weekend 2022

Some drone footage filmed in the fall during Easter Weekend 2022. The beach was really packed and so were most of the resorts, restaurants, bars, etc. This time of year many Mexican nationals celebrate Semana Santa or the Holy Week, which is their traditional way of celebrating Easter. This influx of people creates big crowds all over the island and is a very festive atmosphere. I personally prefer the beach a bit more calm and relaxing, but was still great to be by the ocean in beautiful South Padre Island, TX. I recommend coming in the summer or even the early offseason from the month’s of August thru October. More bang for your buck and less crowds that time of year, not to mention the water and climate are perfect! You can experience beautiful clear waters all to your self in the off season!
