Restoration - Straw rocking horse

Welcome to today’s video :) Toys are as old as humanity itself. They are also objects that open children’s view of the world. Just like every year, in the pre-Christmas rush, parents try to find a toy in the crowded stores that would be the ideal gift for their beloved child, whose eyes will light up on Christmas Eve. For some it is a car, for another it is a doll and for some it can be a rocking horse. The rocking horse first appeared in the USA in the 17th century. It was made of wood, metal and leather. At that time, toys had already begun to be sold at fairs. The oldest preserved toys come from Egypt, Greece and Africa. They were mostly made of clay, ceramic or ivory. The most beautiful thing about these toys is that they were made by the hands of father or grandfather. Worth mentioning is the former Czechoslovakia, which became a toy superpower. This boom occurred in 1958, when at the World Exhibition in Brussels it won a gold medal for toys, puppets and a toy tree by Jiří Trnka. And that’s all for today :) We wish you a happy and relaxing Christmas. If you want to see more interesting content, give us your subscription, like, share with friends, write a comment.
