Today we’re travelling with an empty tank train over the Ceneri pass, which will be losing most of its traffic to the new Ceneri Base Tunnel in 2020, which we’ll also see along the way. The trip continues north of Bellinzona as usual, however after Hendschicken we’ll be turning left and heading to Olten, followed by Cornaux. After Arth-Goldau, the setting sun offers an insight into one of the many pleasures of train driving.
