Olive Drab And Hand Painted Markings - Painting a Free French Forces Char B1 bis (Trumpeter 1/72)

Painting your model in an original paint scheme is a great way to make an interesting replica that will stand out in your collection, especially when you’re building a popular subject that has been done a million times. If you aren’t able to find aftermarket decals for your model, painting them by hand might be the best option. It’s easier if they were hastily painted by hand on the real thing as well. Some Char B1 bis tanks, along with other armored vehicles, were recaptured in 1944, repaired, and used in combat by the Free French Forces, accompanying their allies in France. These tanks were mostly painted in Olive Drab and sported some interesting hand painted markings. I was able to test the new Real Colors from AK-Interactive and I’m very pleased with my experience.
