According to a report from the Army Upgrade channel, the Russian army is in the process of upgrading all of its main battle tanks, specifically the T-72, which is considered the most widely used second-generation tank. These tanks are being upgraded to the latest version, the T-72B3M. The Defense Ministry’s head stated that modifications were made to the T-72B1 after its use in army games, resulting in an improved version, the T-72B3M. This upgrade enhances the tank’s durability and provides increased comfort for the crew. This modernization effort will be applied to all T-72 tanks currently in service with the Russian army, which amounts to over 2,000 tanks. The goal is to bring these tanks up to the T-72B3M standard, ensuring that the Russian army maintains an advanced and capable armored force.
