Illustrator Tutorial: Sketch to Vector Character Illustration

In today’s Adobe Illustrator tutorial I’m going to show you my process of converting a rough sketch into a vector illustration by turning one of my old doodles into a cute yeti cartoon character. By tracing the initial sketch with as many basic shapes as possible, we can achieve a simple ‘flat’ illustration style. The addition of colour fills and strokes using a cold palette of pale blue hues really brings the character to life, then I’ll show you an easy shading technique that enhances your illustration while retaining the simplified ‘flat’ vector look. ⭐️ Check out Envato Elements for Unlimited Downloads of 2,200,000 Stock & Design Assets - 📺 WATCH THIS NEXT: How To Create a Vector eSports Logo Design in Illustrator - 📦 Join my mailing list and get a FREE design resources bundle! 🙏 I don’t have a Patreon, but if you want to support my work, consider becoming an Access All Areas member on Spoon Graphics - ► Download my Yeti character sketch to follow along: Deals & Discounts: ⭐ Get 20% off ANYTHING in the Spoon Graphics Shop with the code: 20OFF - ⭐️ Get 10 FREE Images from Adobe Stock - ⭐ Get 20% off the Heritage Type Milkstore Font Collection - ⭐️ Download millions of creative assets from Envato - ⭐️ Get 36% off unlimited vector downloads from Vecteezy - Tools & Resources I Use: ⭐️ Get Photoshop and other Adobe CC programs here: 🛠️ Where I download the creative assets I need - ✍️ The graphics tablet I use: 🎙️ The microphone I use: 📢 The email newsletter service I use: 📈 The tool I use to help grow my channel: Watch more of my content: 📺 See all my Photoshop tutorials - 📺 See all my Illustrator tutorials - 📺 Watch my most popular videos - #Illustrator #IllustratorTutorial #AdobeIllustrator Adobe Photoshop & Adobe Illustrator design tutorials from Chris Spooner of Spoon Graphics.
