Plasmatics - Living Dead (Bond’s Casino, NYC May 15, 1981)

This video is taken from some of the rare footage of one of the Plasmatics legendary performances at Bond’s International Casino in NYC in 1981. The shows, all used to raise money for the Plasmatics’ Legal Defense Fund was used to defray costs from the huge legal expenses that followed from the Milwaukee “incident” that saw first Wendy arrested by the Milwaukee Vice Squad and then the subsequent beatings of both Wendy and Rod who came to her defense and that ended both of them first in the hospital and then in jail. The charges were later dismissed after a long jury trial but at a huge expense. At the beginning of the video the crowd shots show a representative for Stiff America, the groups’ label at the time, handing out “Wendy Will Win” flyers with the shot of the police beating her up which ended up saving them at the trial. While the audio on this series of video, taken off the small ambient camera mic is rough, the performance packs all the intensity of those amazing shows. If one looks carefully,
