Wind in the blades, sun in the tower | ACCIONA

ACCIONA has installed flexible organic photovoltaic modules in a wind turbine tower in the Breña Wind Farm (Albacete, Spain) to cover the consumption of the turbine’s auxiliary systems. It is a pioneering solution at global level in the field of hybridization between wind and photovoltaic power and will allow the study of the performance of the organic panels -an emerging photovoltaic technology- and their application to improve wind turbine efficiency. #RenewableEnergy Subscribe:
