This is the grandfather of the T70 and GT40 | The Lola Mk1 began an amazing dynasty.

This is the Lola Mk1, the first ever car from the company that would go on to develop cars that included the Ford GT40, Lola T70, Honda RA300 and hundreds of other F1 racers and Le Mans cars. A simple design the Mk1 was the first car Eric Broadley’s company would create. It was built in his family’s tailoring shop in Kent and quickly established Lola as a force to be reckoned with in the world of sportscar racing. This stunning example has raced at Goodwood many times and was competing in the 2021 Members’ Meeting. Outgunned in power terms, the Mk1’s incredible handling ability made up for its deficits to leave the team in with a chance of glory.
