Amanda Lear: Tant Qu’il Y Aura Des Hommes [Re-upload] (1989)

[Tong kilyorah dezom] “As Long As There Are Men“ was the French equivalent of Amanda’s Italian album “Uomini, Più Uomini“. It is not known whether or not the plan was to record all 11 songs in French. In the end Amanda only wrote French lyrics for 5 of the songs, while keeping one side of the LP in Italian. When submitted to Carrere Records it was felt that a hit single was missing from the album, and Amanda went into the studio to cut the dance track Métamorphose which then substituted Télégramme which was left in the can for 4 years until being premiered on a CD compilation of songs from the two albums. L’école d’amour was released as the second single off the album, but like Métamorphose failed to generate any interest. Tant qu’il y aura des hommes became the first Amanda Lear album to be released on CD. As I did not want to repeat the Italian tracks here, I created a new side with Métamorphose.
