Sang Qi believed it wasn’t a huge problem, but she was repeatedly denied. Knowing Yan Yun taught at Imperial College, she decided to apply and was eventually accepted after her father pleaded with the Emperor. As a result, she enrolled at Imperial College alongside her childhood friend Zhuo Wenyuan and a number of young masters, becoming the Imperial College’s first and only female student.
