Joy Layne - Your Wild Heart (1957)

Charted at #30 on Billboard Hot 100 in February 1957. Joy’s only charting single. She sounds like my favorite female singer from the ’50’s, Teresa Brewer, and she’s doing a song originally done by one of my favorite girl groups, the Poni-Tails, so how could I not love this? Original Billboard review: “Newcomer Miss Lane, a 15 year old, makes a strong bow with this catchy tune, which has stirred action in another version by the Poni-Tails. The young chick comes on a bit like Teresa Brewer and gives a definitely sales-wise reading. Tune will have other covers, but this could be the big one.“ Written by Charles Sano and James Testa. B-side is “Dum Dum“.
