A stray dog became a guide for a tourist lost in the Peruvian mountains due to fog The blogger was part of a hiking group wandering along the famous Santa Cruz Highway, near the town of Huaraz in Peru, when he suddenly became separated from the others on the second day of the trek. He wanted to reach the scenic Punta Union Pass, but the route was covered with snow, ice and thick fog. Eventually the guy got lost, but suddenly a four-legged rescuer appeared out of nowhere. The dog confidently led the man to the right path and escorted him to the top, where Jake was able to catch up with his group. According to locals’ stories, stray dogs are often found in these parts and they know the local trails. Therefore, in such situations, they may well be able to lead a man to the right path like real mountain guides. Source: Global News (EU, USA)
