Vinland Saga is a phenomenal piece of Viking fiction - packed in equal measure with kinetic violence and beautiful humanity. Over its fifteen years in publication, mangaka Makoto Yukimura has given us one of the medium’s best works - one that has truly earned the saga of its title. Vinland Saga was originally recommended to me during ’Patron Picked Purchases’ over at the Beyond Ghibli Patreon - an annual event where I’ll read and review a manga of your choice!
