Teen believed to be victim of cyber-kidnapping returns safely to Riverdale home

A missing foreign exchange student out of Riverdale is starting the new year safely home with his host family. Riverdale police said the 17-year-old was the victim of cyber kidnapping. A key element to this story is the distance between the child and the parents. 2News got insight from one of our own, meteorologist Lindsay Storrs, who has experience sending her own child overseas. She weighed in on how difficult it is to think about a child’s safety, while they’re so far away. “Scary.
