Santiago Calatrava’s Opera House in Valencia

My Arch Studio presentation of ’El Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia’, opened October 2005, after nine years of construction. Total cost = €120m, designed by world-renowned architect Santiago Calatrava. Music is ’Habanera’ from Bizet’s CARMEN performed by Charlotte Church. As you watch the progression of photos, we go from daylight, to dusk, to night. There’s a very special magic about this place at night, when the buildings seem even more vibrant, if that’s possible, it’s very spectacular during the day.
