Israel Fumes As UN Chief Invokes “Occupation“ Of Palestinians, US Says Ceasefire Will Benefit Hamas

Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations, Gilad Erdan, called for the resignation of UN Secretary-General António Guterres on October 24. Erdan’s comments came after Guterres said the Hamas attack on October 7, in which 1,400 people were killed, “did not happen in a vacuum”. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on October 24 called for an immediate ceasefire to end “epic suffering” in the Gaza Strip. Guterres voiced concern about “violations of international humanitarian law” in Gaza, adding the situation in the Middle East was getting worse. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken warned that Washington would act swiftly if Iran or its proxies attacked US personnel anywhere. Israel said it would be denying visas to UN officials in the wake of Guetress’s comments. 0:00 - INTRODUCTION 1:18 - ISRAEL DEMANDS UN CHIEF QUIT OVER HAMAS ATTACK REMARKS 3:15 - GUTERRES CALLS FOR “IMMEDIATE CEASEFIRE” AS WAR RAGES 6:36 - “THERE IS ONLY ONE SIDE TO SUPPORT” 8:58 - ISRAEL & PALESTINE SQUARE OFF AT UNSC MEETING 13:45 - “US DOESN’T WANT WAR WITH IRAN BUT WILL DEFEND ITSELF” #israel #hamasattack #hamasattack #gaza #palestine #unsc #unitednations #antonioguterres #worldnews n18oc_world n18oc_crux CRUX is your daily video news guide to the big events that are shaping our world.
