Forging a Norweigian Hewing axe. This is my first attempt at forging one of these giant axes. I recently bought a book from Norway that shows how they were made and what methods were commonly used. All in all I am very pleased with the end result. Norway is near and dear to me. Great great grandfather came to Sweden from Norway and bought the farm where I grew up over 100 years ago.
