Kisatchie National Forest (KNF), Louisiana There are three nests located within the forest on Kincaid Lake known as: E-1 (Louis and Anna), E-2 (currently not inhabited), and E-3 (Alex and Andria). Our Bald Eagle nests are located a little more than 100 feet above the ground, in the tops of Loblolly Pine trees near the shore of Kincaid Lake (Kincaid Lake is approximately 1768 acres) Evangeline Unit, Calcasieu Ranger District, Kisatchie National Forest, Rapides Parish, central Louisiana. In forested areas, eagles usually select one of the tallest living trees for their nest, and they prefer a site that is close to water. This camera system is established and maintained by forest service personnel; if you would like to visit our forest for recreational opportunities, you can see what’s available at this link: Content/YouTube Channel: FB Page: Fan FB Page: Forest web site: Follow me on Instagram: Follow me on TikTok: @therhnda1225?lang=en Follow me on Twitter: Please like and subscribe!
