Kyiv (also Kiev and Ukrainian: Київ) is the largest city and capital of the Ukraine. The city is one of the oldest in Europe with a long history. We walked in Kyiv on the main street at centre ( ) - today’s tour explores another area of the central city. We at the Maidan, the Independence Square in the center at the The Founders of Kyiv Monument (Пам’ятник засновникам Києва). We take one tunnel under the Khreschatyk and walk West and uphill first to the St. Sophia’s Cathedral and then to the St. Michael’s Bell Tower and monastery.
