Kim Jong Un Welcomes Putin With Grand Parade in North Korea

Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in North Korea on Wednesday for a two-day visit aimed at strengthening ties with leader Kim Jong Un. Putin received an official welcome at Pyongyang’s main square before commencing summit talks with the North Korean leader. A red carpet was laid out for him in a glamorous welcome ceremony at a Pyongyang airport. The two leaders were photographed shaking hands and embracing on the runway, pausing momentarily as they discussed who should enter the limousine first, before finally sharing the vehicle. Ahead of the summit, Kim Jong Un pledged full support for Russia’s actions in Ukraine, while Putin expressed gratitude for this support. They announced plans for both nations to sign an agreement aimed at enhancing economic and military cooperation and demonstrating a united stance against the United States.
