Do you know how fantasy book cover designs are born? 🔥 Today we want to show you how we created a light and tender book cover for Anita Cross’ fantasy book Kings & Khans 🤩 ✨ As always, we started with the main character. We planned to design a classic image of the fairy: fair-haired, in a nice dress, and with gentle butterfly wings. We combined several elements from different images to get the right final result. The most complicated part was retouching the image and ensuring that all elements, including the dress and its pattern, the colors, and the girl’s hands, body, and hair all fit together and look natural. ✨ Next, we moved on to designing the background. To create the right dreamy and fantasy mood, we created an image of the castle in the sky.
