On the Dreech EP on SoHaSo Records, DJ Remy takes us back to his RoXY days. That time when we all ate strobes for breakfast and recognized a Pump Up The Jam-sample whenever we saw one. Opener ’Lost DAT One’ is a gem. Remy proves he still packs a punch today, with the freshly produced breakbeat infused ’Stampkramp’. Remy shares this vintage feel-EP with Joannes, a techno producer from the north of The Netherlands who has a fetish for hardware and a keen ear for oldschool house sounds. Cowbells and handclaps are plentyful on his two takes, and so is humour. On the fast-paced ’Claps for Richie’ he builds and builds to a blissful liquid break, only to cut it short. What a guy.
