China’s new mega airport – the Beijing Daxing International Airport – is set to open ahead of the 70th anniversary of the founding of New China. The airport, located 46 kilometers south of downtown Beijing, is expected to alleviate the pressure on Beijing Capital International Airport in the city’s northeastern suburbs.
