Michael Jackson opens the gates of Neverland to children in need 1992

November 25, 1992. Via the “Make-A-Wish Foundation,” Michael once again opened up the gates of Neverland to a group of children. One of whom was David Sonnet, who suffered a brain aneurysm at the age of 8, leaving him only able to communicate through a computer device. David and a large group of other children spent the day playing games and going on rides and meeting animals at Neverland. According to David’s mother, Michael’s music helped bring David out of a coma. Michael often wrote letters to David & sent him memorabilia over the coming years. David passed away in 2004.
