Mike Reed plays “Music to watch Girls by“ on his Hammond Organ

“Music to Watch Girls By“ was the first Top 40 hit by Bob Crewe using his own name, recorded by his group The Bob Crewe Generation. The music was composed by Sidney “Sid“ Ramin. Crewe first heard the song performed in a jingle demo for a Diet Pepsi commercial, and he thought that the song “exemplified the groovy state of instrumental music at that time.“ So, in 1966, it became a mega-hit. Here it is, swaying along, on a beach somewhere, with appropriate Latin-flavored rhythms and sounds. My gift to you for Memorial Day weekend. Enjoy, be safe, and remember, “Life is Good“ when the pretty lady in the song is your lovely wife. 5/28/2021. Groovy, baby. 🌴😎🎹
