Israel faces global embarrassment at UN as Irish delegate demands sanctions against apartheid regime

Israel’s apartheid regime faced more global embarrassment at the UN in Geneva on 6 June when delegates walked out of the room as soon as the Israeli delegate’s name was called as the next speaker. Ireland’s representative urged her country to impose sanctions on Israel in the wake of the brutalities being committed on Palestinians.
