Power-Pak Cycle (1953)

Bayswater, London. Various shots show war hero Peter Lee-Warner preparing for a trip from England to Australia on his ’Power Pak’ bicycle outside his house. He straps his equipment to the bike. His wife comes out of the house and pours some water into the cycle tank. Peter waves goodbye, then sets off down the road on his bike. Commentator tells us the Dunkirk prisoner of war escaped from the Germans by cycling across Europe. He is also an ex-Chindit parachutist. He is hoping to write a book about his travels on this trip.
