Russia scrambled an MiG-31 jet to intercept a Norwegian military plane. The incident happened over the Barents Sea near the two countries’ Arctic border. Moscow said the Norwegian plane was spotted by the Russian airspace control systems. The plane was identified as a Norwegian Air Force R-8A Poseidon Base Patrol Aircraft. This is the second such incident in the last two days and third this month.
