It is adapted from a popular novel The Kid Deserves to Die written by Bang Ji-ho. Bang Ui-gang is a retired professional killer. While on a job he meets a woman and eventually settles down into retirement after marriage. He lives a leisurely life with his wife until one day, his wife and her friend go on a road trip together and Ui-gang is entrusted to take care of Kim Yoon-ji, his wife best friend’s daughter. While in his care Yoon-ji gets caught up with a local gang and Ui-gang is forced to use a little bit of violence to protect her. Later Yoon-ji is kidnapped and Ui-gang is framed for murder. He is then forced to go on the run to clear his name while also searching for Yoon-ji to bring her back home safely.
