The art of Pavel Korin combines with a Prelude by Chopin. Mr Korin was active during the era of Stalin, and he painted many of these pictures in the 1930s. Many of these are, therefore, portraits of those repressed. You are looking at martyrs. Truly, “a dark night of the soul“.
