John Travolta The Boy in the Plastic Bubble 1976 Tod Lubitch is born with a deficient immune system. As such, he must spend the rest of his life in a completely sterile environment. His room is completely hermetically sealed against bacteria and virus, his food is specially prepared, and his only human contact comes in the form of gloved hands. The movie follows his life into a teenager. It stars John Travolta, Glynnis O’Connor, Diana Hyland, Robert Reed, and P.J. Soles. It was written by Douglas Day Stewart, executive produced by Aaron Spelling and Leonard Goldberg (who, at the time, produced Starsky and Hutch and Charlie’s Angels), and directed by Randal Kleiser, who would work with Travolta again in Grease shortly after. #classicmovies #movies #johntravolta
