Deine Lakaien - Contact (Forest Enter Exit Tour 1993)

Dear music friends and fans, after the dreamy and yet sad “The Walk To The Moon” we went to our instruments, immersed in darkness and spherical sounds, until Alexander, motionless, opened the song “Contact” in a glaring light. The song, which refers to the novel “Fiasko” by Stanislav Lem, describes the attempt to contact a foreign civilisation, which ends in a catastrophe because man can only act according to his understanding. The music offers Alexander a lot of space for emotional outbursts to Michael Popp’s hard guitar riffs and Christian “Komo“ Komorowski’s wild violin tremolos, as well as to the floating sounds over heavy drum sounds. For us, even on the last concert of our tour, it was an exciting, long journey, from the soft sounds of “The Walk To The Moon” to the dramatic end of this song. This concert opening was always a big surprise for our audience, for which we were thanked with enthusiastic applause. We hope you like it too!
