Queen - Soundcheck in Oxford (20/11/1973)

Note: FOR ONCE A DOUBLE UPLOAD DAY! So, if we thought that any audience recordings from the band’s first tour existing was crazy, here’s a soundcheck that the band did from their first tour supporting Mott The Hoople. What a treat this is and it’s insane that we have a soundcheck from the band’s very first tour! This proceeds the band’s performance in Oxford in the Oxford Theatre that night so it provides a good picture to what they were doing before that show. It is very interesting (though there are some silent parts here and there) and show a band striving to be prepare themselves for a gig that would help them reach the masses in Britain. It’s about what you’d expect from a soundcheck, the band rush through snippets of several songs that are in the setlist while they finalise the monitor mixes for the show.
