Russian FM Sergey Lavrov arrived in Laos, where he will take part in the East Asia Summit (EAS) on October 11. US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken will also visit Laos to participate in the events of ASEAN, including the EAS, instead of Biden. The Russian foreign ministry did not report on possible contacts with the American delegation, but in July, Lavrov and Blinken, who were also in Laos at the same time for events of these formats, did not meet separately.
