Download music & read Article at: LORD MEHER, KALKI This age we live in is known as the Kali Yuga. It is the time of vast and prolonged destruction, sickness and wickedness. Every ill known to man ravages the world. Every ignoble form of unnaturalness persists. Ignorance is predominant. Instinct is a confused issue. Human consciousness has become synthetic. Drugs have damaged minds’ intellectual capacity. Humans are hypnotized and act mechanical. The Truth is distorted. Every compromise is made for the sake of expediency, namely power; but that power is corruptive. Lies are taught as history. Rituals are substituted for truths. Illusions are materialized and become the determining factor of value. Those who know the Truth decide not to reveal it to prevent it from becoming a mockery. When Truth is revealed, violent attempts are made to destroy it. But without the Truth man’s own nature becomes distorted and he, in fact, loses his meaning, he loses his defining role in the universe. When there is practically no Truth left to be found in the world, GOD must descend, the Avatar must reveal GOD – what Truth is. It has been prophesied ages ago in Das Avataras (The Ten Avatars): “I bow down to the Incarnation of Kalki, who is yet to come in this terribly sinful Kali Age, who is devoid of all religious rituals such as sacrifices, who will be riding a white horse, who will have a destructive sword in his hand, and who will cause the destruction of the multitude of wicked non-believers.“ Meher Baba is known as Kalki or the Kalki Avatar. In Sanskrit, the name Kalki means the Destroyer of sins – ignorance in action. His drawn sword symbolizes him as the Liberator of the world and, at the same time, the Destroyer of wickedness. Contemplate the symbolism and compare it with Meher Baba’s life to discover the meaning of his advent. Why is this such a terrible age? Why did GOD have to descend? Because there is such an abundance of illusions and so little Truth in the world. All transcendent knowledge is dependent upon what the Avatar reveals. The Avatar alone has such authority to take the knowledge (gnosis) that has been lost or hidden and reveal it again to mankind. Knowledge direct to a select few. If Maya has power, it is the distortion of the Truth. It is Maya’s power to make the illusions have value and make the Truth have almost no value. Nearly every man and woman in this age has fallen victim to Maya’s deception. A man cannot recognize his bondage until he acknowledges that he has been deceived. It is recognition of his self-deception that compels him to inwardly break free and strive to stand face-to-face before GOD to begin to realize the reality of Reality. What is the reality of Reality? That nothing is; nothing but GOD. Besides GOD all else is nothing and ends in nothingness. LORD MEHER, KALKI
