The Complexities of the Martial Artist’s Mindset: Claire Bouchard at TEDxColumbiaCollege

Claire Bouchard is a sophomore at Barnard College of Columbia University who has recently created her own major: Philosophy of Language. She has been training in Shotokan Martial Arts since the age of 6, under Sensei Avi Azoulay at the Syosset Martial Arts Center, and began competing internationally at the age of 12 in Japan. Now, Claire is a member of the AJKA United States National Karate Team and is in the process of training for the Euro Cup in Berlin, Germany next September. Claire is also a Resident Assistant and Speaking Fellow at Barnard College. This talk was given at TEDxColumbiaCollege in November of 2012 at Columbia University in New York City.
