Tim Burton’s new Netflix show, “Wednesday,“ is a spinoff of the Addams Family and focuses on Wednesday Addams as a teenager attending boarding school. The show is similar to other young adult shows, such as Riverdale and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, in that it revives an old IP and gives it a dark and violent twist. The show also borrows elements from the Harry Potter series, including a boarding school, competition between cliques, tension between those with powers and those without, and a prophecy.
