Этот сорт вывели специально для празднования юбилея. 500 кустов роз были высажены на площади Пролетарской диктатуры 26 мая 2003 года в день открытия выставки “Город и цветы“. Не зря именно этот сорт был выведен для празднования юбилея, ведь он выдерживает морозы до -40 градусов по Цельсию. Сорт признан лучшим в мире на выставке в Питтсбурге в США и получил еще 3 международных премии. Цветок Юбилея Петербурга средних размеров 9-10 см, на стебле формируется 3-5 штук. На момент роспуска он показывает светло-кремовую окраску лепестков с неширокой малиновой каймой. По мере роспуска кремовый оттенок полностью исчезает и роза демонстрирует свой парадный белоснежный цвет, а кайма постепенно расширяется, как будто растекается акварельная краска по лепестку, стекая к середине — к основанию. Сорт Юбилей Санкт-Петербурга отличается обильным и продолжительным цветением, хорошей устойчивостью к дождю и жаре. Хоть роза очень морозоустойчивая, но у нее есть предрасположенность к болезням, поэтому в неблагоприятные годы роза может поражаться типичными для роз болезнями (черная пятнистость, мучнистая роса).
