Ed, Edd n Eddy - Static Electricity

For more educational clips from television and movies, visit us at . Double D shuffles along a rug and shocks Ed with his finger. He then explains static electricity to Ed and gives him the opportunity to create a shock for himself. Ed takes what he’s learned to a whole new level. This clip is from the episode, “Every Which Way But Ed.“ This clip can be used to teach static electricity and does so using an example that most people are familiar with. Shuffling along a carpet allows you to pick up extra electrons, which spread across your body and give you a negative charge. When you touch another person, who likely has a neutral charge, the electrons transfer from you to the other person. The transfer of electrons causes the shock, as demonstrated by both Double D and Ed. Have you used this clip in one of your classes? Let us know in the comments below!
