Afghan capital could fall in weeks as Taliban drag ’soldiers’ bodies’ through conquered territories

Taliban fighters have captured the city of Ghazni, the 10th provincial capital they have seized in a week, as US intelligence said Afghanistan’s capital, Kabul, could fall to the insurgents within 90 days. Videos released by the Taliban show what they claim to be the gates to Ghazni’s police headquarters and insurgents ’pulling Afghan soldiers’ bodies through city streets’. The Taliban have seized 65 per cent of Afghanistan’s territory and could control the entire country within a month, some US officials fear.
