Ancient Dance still alive - Horon / χορός / ხორუმი (Compiled)

Around the Black Sea, Pontos in Greek, this dance was introduced by the Greek colonists, who arrived there in 7th century B.C. Today the Dance is known in many names, such as “Horon“ and Georgian “Ⴞორუმი“ (khorumi) which are derived from Greek χορός / khoron - (dance, dancing group), Greek is also “Serra“ (Σέρρα), “kotsari“ (Kότσαρι). It seems that these names are actually names of the parts of the major Dance, because typically they are alike. Generally, it is called as “Pontic Dance“. Most frequently it is performed by Greeks and Georgians, each one performs in its own way, but also it is well known for other Peoples who lived historically around the Black Sea. They are describing it as the Dance of Warriors who are either preparing for a war or are remembering past war, scenes of war etc.
