When the bar only has three, five, or seven beats, all of a sudden the simplest of musical ideas take on a whole new rhythmically interesting life. I used some of the drum patterns from my Drums that Vibe Pack/Ebook to create three beats; one in 3/4, one in 5/4 and one in 7/4. I kept the sound choice pretty simple by using my Fretless Bass and Fender Rhodes Electric Piano to create the bass lines and chords.
