Woah! Its been over 15 years since my youthful self reached out to share this band, song, and a songwriter that I still admire to this day. Whether its Connor Oberst, Saddle Creek Records, or someone in that ecosphere who allowed this video to stay up after all these years, thank you! I’m so happy so many people have shared in my love and admiration for this track. Thanks to Conner for writing great music to this day! Love to everyone! . ----------From 15 years ago---------- Bright Eyes’ music video for their song “First Day Of My Life“ off of their 2005 album I’m Wide Awake It’s Morning. A very simple but great video that goes hand in hand with the song. The song is probably one of the best by Bright Eyes, definitely a song with much more hope than a lot of others by the band. After listening to this song and seeing the video, it’s hard not to have a good feeling inside you :)
