In this video we look at the worldwide map of radio stations hearing me, and me hearing them on a digital radio communication system known as Ft-8. What is interesting to me is the that the 40m signals (7Mhz) aren’t reaching across the Atlantic ocean at this time of day and also do not travel further west than the terminator line. But 12m (28Mhz) reaches across the ocean with little difficulty but is still blocked by darkness. I am using a Xiegu G90 and De-19 digital interface and putting out around 20W atts of power into a 20m inverted V Dipole antenna hung about 15-20 feet in a tree.
