Trapping target #cat for TNR when surrounded by other cats
Two tips if you are doing TNR in a crowded cat colony:
1) Distract other #cats especially the fearless #kittens with food and make sure the target cat stays near and interested in entering the trap. Sometimes mama cats send kittens on purpose to better understand what’s the trap about.
2) It’s also important that stop feeding the target cat at least 24 hours before the trapping. It must be hungry enough to be willing to walk in.
I often use this humane trap for catching feral cats and getting them spayed or neutered. It will be released once the operation and post-operational care are completed.
TNR means Trap, Neuter, Return.
