Winter storm slams U.S. with power outages, snow, tornadoes, flooding

One in a fusillade of winter storms is still producing heavy rain, snow and high winds in parts of New England after unleashing severe thunderstorms with embedded tornadoes across the Southeast U.S. Tuesday. Flood warnings and high wind advisories were active from New Jersey up through Maine on Wednesday as a deadly winter storm continued to dump rain across the region, delaying traffic, closing schools and knocking out power to thousands of households.
