Huge Russian armoured attack on Tonenke destroyed by Ukrainian paratroopers

Ukrainian paratroopers thwarted one of the biggest Russian armoured attacks of the war so far as Putin’s men tried and failed to seize the town of Tonenke. Drone footage shows part of the attack rolling in, which is though to have used a total of 36 tanks and 12 BMP infantry fighting vehicles to break Ukraine’s lines. But the attack quickly runs into trouble, as mines, FPV drones an anti-tank rockets pick the armoured column apart before it can reach the town. In total, four tanks and two BMPs are destroyed in the footage - however, images taken after the battle show a total of 12 tanks and 8 BMPs were destroyed in the fighting, before the attack was repulsed. Despite the losses, Russian forces have been advancing around Tonenke in recent days as they try to push west of the city of Avdiivka. They are attempting to break Ukrainian lines and push into the part of Donetsk Oblast that they don’t currently control and Putin has vowed to capture. Ukraine is trying to stop them using some of its most elite units. #
