SHOCKINGLY, SYRIAN OPPOSITION FLAG RAISED OVER SYRIAN EMBASSY IN MOSCOW: Two stars is the official Syrian flag, 3 stars is the flag traditionally used by the FSA - “Free Syrian Army“, funded, in part, by the U.S. The #FSA is a coalition of decentralized Syrian “moderate rebel“ groups. Its original command structure dissipated in 2016 & the FSA identity has since been used by various Syrian opposition groups thugs. ? The support of Russia & Iran caused the FSA to lose strength on all fronts in 2016. It regained its power after Turkey’s Operation Euphrates Shield in 2017 (a cross-border military operation leading to Turkish occupation of northern Syria.) At Operation Olive Branch (an invasion of Syria by Turkey in the majority-Kurdish Afrin District of northwest Syria), about 30 groups affiliated to the FSA in 2018.
