US Seizure Triggers Iran Commando Raid | Biden Under Bipartisan Pressure Amid Oil Tanker Escalation

Iran’s Navy commandos conducted a raid and seized a U S-bound oil tanker in the Gulf of Oman on April 27. Tehran says the Turkish-managed, Chinese-owned Advantage Sweet, was seized over it running into another Iranian vessel. Iran said that the US-bound tanker collided with an Iranian boat, injuring several crew members and tried to flee. However, Iran has provided no evidence yet to support the claim, releasing only the footage of the raid. The US Navy said the Iranian seizure was at least the fifth commercial vessel taken by Tehran in the last two years. The seizure comes after the US ordered an Iranian tanker to redirect towards the US which was destined for China. Meanwhile, Iran’s Ayatollah Khamenei decried the presence of the US military in Iraq during a meeting with Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rashid. Khamenei told Rashid that “the presence of even one American in Iraq is too much”. Watch this video to know what’s feeding tensions between Iran and the US. #Iran #US #Tanker #GulfofOman #Tehran #
